Looking after your Pearls & Swine Accessory:

Hairspray and perfume is the enemy, it will strip the colour off sequin/glitter. You can wear both but don't spray in the direction of your accessories!

Cellotape/stickytape/any tape is brilliant for removing dust or fluff, just apply the sticky side against the accessory and gently pull away. The dust will now be on the tape and your accessory will be clean and ready to wear!

Putting your Pearls & Swine accessory on

Pasties/C-string/Merkins:

Use double sided tape. This is goes by many names: body tape, wig tape, toupe tape, hypoallergenic tape. If you have sensitive skin it is best to stick to one of these. If not you can find double sided tape at Pound Shops or DIY shops, it's a lot cheaper and works just as well as the "proper" tape, sometimes better!
Alternatively you can use spirit gum or latex adhesive.

Fascinators/Crowns/Berets:

These attach with a comb. Gently slide your fingers under the comb, push the comb forward (toward your face). If you hair is very fine or soft you might find it best to pull the comb back and forth through your hair (a bit like backcombing it into your hair) then push the accessory forward and it should be pretty secure.
Another little trick you can do is tie a small bit of your hair back with a hair band, this gives your accessory a firm base to grip into.

Storing your Pearls & Swine accessory

1. Keep it wrapped in bubble wrap (or anything similar) and in a box to keep dust/pets/kiddies etc off.
2. Support the curve of the fascinator by putting something underneath to fill the curve. Ie a pair of socks or bunched up bubble wrap.
3. When transporting in a suitcase put in a box and surround in bubble wrap (or similar) to protect from being crushed.
